Hitman Beautifully Executed

The dominant image is a woman however; she is seen to be a sex symbol by the way she is positioned and by her lack of clothing could once again support the stereotype of the male dominance.
The target audience is for over 18’s as the image is unsuitable for young viewers and it clearly shows on the image that the rating of the game is for over 18s.
The woman is seen to have a gunshot mark on her forehead which gives the audience a slight inside to what the narrative could actually be, with this example death would be the obvious choice. Also the mis en scene can also give a hint to what the narrative could be because the background and the women’s clothes are all in red which could also symbolise love and romance to an extent. This is a binary opposition of love and violence.
The image in some ways creates enigma codes such as why has she been killed? Which can attract a large audience as they would be encouraged to go and buy the game.

The video game 'Hitman' most probably would come under a gangster/ action genre. The woman shown as the central image relates well to the genre as the male dominant characters in these types of video games and even movies have attractive ladies accompanying them

music video analysis

The first scene of the music video shows a woman singing in a church and people mourning, which gives the audience the idea that somebody has passed away. Throughout the whole video low key lighting has been used which once again represents the negativity, which relates to the beginning of the video.

Also the fact that theres a scene where a black man has been shot, supports the stereotype that black people are always involved in crime.
